How This Mini-Course Works:
Once you enroll, you have access to the course immediately.
What To Expect:
This mini-course discusses some basic ideas about how to conduct a Functional Behavior Assessment and how to make Behavior Intervention Plans. The course has 7 lessons.
What It Is About:
Children with autism and related special needs sometimes present challenges in the area of behavior. When this occurs, the adults in that child’s life begin to investigate methods and techniques to encourage the best in their child. Conducting a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and a developing a good Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) are great places to start. This course will examine the beginning stages of the process for conducting a Functional Behavior Assessment and writing a Behavior Intervention Plan. This mini-course encompasses only a small amount of the work and detail that goes into the FBA and BIP process. This is meant to get you started with the process of looking at, analyzing, and providing strategies for behaviors. If you are looking for more information on the topic, check out the Manage and Organize a Classroom for Students with Autism and Related Needs course.
In addition to authoring books on autism, I create teaching resources and materials for teachers and parents and run the Autism Classroom website.
